regarding the Advertisement
1.(Ref. No.F.1/93/2008-R-IV)One Junior Interpreter(Arabic) in the Interpreters’ Cadre of the Ministry of External Affairs. The post is exclusively reserved for Physically Handicapped {Visual Disability[ Blindness or Low Vision (High power glasses- Better eye : 6/18-6/36, Worse eye : 6/60-nil, percentage : 40%)]} OR Orthopaedically Handicapped [Locomotor disability (with locomotor disability having impairment about 50% -one upper limb – one arm affected or one lower limb – one leg affected)] candidates belonging to any community. Qualifications : Essential : Educational : A. Master’s degree in the Arabic language with English as a compulsory/elective subject at degree level from a recognized University or equivalent. OR B. i) A degree in the Arabic language with English as a compulsory/elective subject from a recognized University or equivalent ; and ii) Two years’ experience as a Translator /Interpreter in the Arabic language to English/Hindi and vice-versa or in teaching the Arabic language. OR C i) Bachelor’s degree with English as a compulsory/elective subject from a recognized University or equivalent ; and ii) A diploma equivalent to Interpretership standard in the Arabic language from a recognized university or equivalent; and iii) Three years’ experience as a Translator/Interpreter in the Arabic language to English/Hindi and vice-versa or in teaching the Arabic language. DUTIES : Interpretation from English/Hindi to Arabic and vice-versa. ANY OTHER CONDITIONS : During the period of probation, the person appointed shall be required to acquire proficiency in Hindi equivalent to Matriculation or the Pragya Examination conducted under the Hindi Teaching Scheme of the Central Government.
2.(Ref. No.F.1/184/2008-R-VI) One Assistant Director, Grade –II(Electrical) in the Development Organization(MSME-DO), Office of the Development Commissioner(Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The post is reserved for OBC candidates. The post is also suitable for Physically Handicapped persons with “Locomotor disability” or cerebral palsy”. Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational : Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent. B. Experience : Two years’ experience in supervisory capacity in a technical/industrial unit in production of light electrical machinery and appliances/testing/inspection of electrical engineering products or experience in promotion of small scale industries in areas of entrepreneurship development and quality control. DESIRABLE : i) Familiarity with the latest techniques of production and use of modern machines, equipment and tools as used in the electrical engineering industry ; and ii) basic knowledge of Computers particularly application side of currently used software/packages for offices. DUTIES: To visit Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and advise their supervisory staff and workers about different problems, suggest improved techniques of Production, Quality standards and method of working, conduct Entrepreneurship Development Programmes and Tests for quality certification in the field of Electrical Engineering. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
3.(Ref. No.F.1/41/2008-R.VI/R.IV) Two Technologists(Process) in Directorate of Printing, Ministry of Urban Development. Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational : Diploma in Photolithography from a recognized Institution or equivalent. B. Experience : i) Five years’ practical experience including 2 years’ in a supervisory capacity in handling process cameras and allied equipments with special emphasis on colour separation work and masking methods. ii) Practical experience of making litho plates with different celloids etc. DESIRABLE : i) Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. ii) Knowledge of modern colour correction techniques with colour scanners. iii) Experience of working in printing production-cum-training center or training/teaching in the trade. DUTIES : Supervision of process section. Camera work, all other reproduction work, colour separation work, re-touching and montage work and preparation of all types of plates for offset printing. He should be able to produce multi-colour jobs independently. Training Personnel on offset printing machines of various configuration. To conduct training courses, prepare syllabus for trainees and create organization necessary to achieve the said objectives. HQ : Anywhere in India where a Govt. Press exists, present posting is at Faridabad and Shimla. ANY OTHER CONDITION : The candidate may have to undergo a trade test.
4.(Ref. No.F.1/114/2008-R-III) One lecturer in Physics(Non-Technical), B. Tech.(Part-time) Programme in Delhi College of Engineering, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Department of Training & Technical Education. The post is unreserved and to be filled up from Physically Handicapped[Orthopaedically Handicapped/locomotor disability or cerebral palsy(OA-One Arm affected or OL-One leg Affected or BLA- Both Leg & Arms affected)]candidates belonging to any community. Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational : A good academic record with first class M.Sc. degree in Physics OR Good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent CGPA at the Master’s Degree level in the Physics from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. Besides fulfilling this qualification, candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturers conducted by the UGC/CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC. NOTE : If a Grade point system is adopted, the GPA will be converted into equivalent marks as given below :-

DUTIES : To perform all the academic activities including examination work in Physics specially in the field related to Electronics/Radiation Physics. To participate in R&D and research guidance, consultancy/testing service, promotion of industry-institution society interaction, Curriculum / Resource Material/Laboratory Development & Expansion, Co-curricular & Extra Curricular Activities, Academic and Administrative Management, Policy Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation and Promotional activities, Promotion of entrepreneurship and job creation, helping mobilization of resources for the institution, Develop/update and maintain MIS, Plan and implement staff Development activities. And any other relevant work assigned by the Head of the Institution. HQ: Delhi College of Engineering, Bawana Road, Delhi and any other place decided by the competent authority.
I.(Ref. No. F.1/195/2006-R.II ) Recruitment to 06 posts of Deputy Government Counsel (Grade III of Indian Legal Service) in the Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law & Justice with reservation position as SC-01, OBC-02 and UR-03 [Out of 06 posts, 01 post was reserved for Physically Handicapped persons with orthopaedically handicapped persons with Locomotor disability or cerebral palsy- one arm affected (Right or Left) with impaired reach, weakness of grip ataxic]. (Reference UPSC Advertisement No. 13, Item No.02, published in the various leading Newspapers/Employment News on 14.07.2007 ).
It is notified for general information that the number of posts of Deputy Government Counsel now re-designated as Deputy Legal Adviser have been reduced from 06 to 05 with reservation position as OBC=01 and Unreserved-04. [Out of 05 posts, 01 post will remain reserved for Physically Handicapped persons with orthopaedically handicapped persons with Locomotor disability or cerebral palsy- one arm affected (Right or Left) with impaired reach, weakness of grip ataxic]. There is now no reservation for Scheduled Castes candidates in the revised number of posts .
All other terms and conditions will remain the same.
II. (Ref. No. F.1/343/2005-R.IV) Recruitment to seven posts ( 04 Males and 03 Females) of Assistant Education Officer (General) in Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). Out of seven posts, one post (Male) was reserved for Scheduled Castes candidates, two posts (01 Male and 01 Female ) were reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates and remaining four posts ( 02 Males and 02 Females) were unreserved (Reference UPSC Advertisement No.15, Item No. 13 published in the leading Newspapers/Employment News on 11.08.2007) and subsequent corrigendum (Reference UPSC Advertisement No.13, published in the leading Newspapers/Employment News on 12.07.2008) reserving one post out of seven posts for Orthopaedically Handicapped persons with One Leg affected viz. (OL) belonging to any community and gender.
It is notified for general information that out of the above mentioned seven posts (04 Males and 03 Females), one post which was reserved for Orthopaedically Handicapped persons with One leg affected (OL) is now also to be filled up from among One Arm affected(OA)or Both Legs affected (BL) or Muscular Weakness(MW) physically handicapped persons belonging to any community and gender. These posts have now become suitable for Physically Handicapped [Orthopaedically Handicapped i.e. One leg affected(OL) or One Arm affected(OA)or Both Legs affected(BL) or Muscular Weakness(MW)] persons.
Closing date for receipt of applications from only those Orthopaedically Handicapped candidates with One Arm affected(OA) or Both Legs affected (BL) or Muscular Weakness(MW) who have now (repeat now) become eligible on account of above addition of categories of Orthopaedically Handicapped has been extended upto 30.10.2008 (06.11.2008 in respect of applications received only by post (by post) from candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunchal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul and Spiti districts and Pangi sub-division of Chamba of Chamba district of Himanchal Pradesh, A&N Islands or Lakshadweep or abroad.
All other terms and conditions of the said advertisement(i.e. Advt. No.15, Item No.13 published on 11.8.2007) will remain the same. In case, some Orthopaedically Handicapped viz One Arm affected(OA) or One Leg affected(OL) or Both Legs affected (BL) or Muscular Weakness(MW) candidates have already applied for the above posts, they need not apply again.

4.AGE LIMIT AS ON NORMAL CLOSING DATE
a) Not exceeding 35 years for the posts at S. Nos.1,3 & 4
b) Not exceeding 33 years for the posts at S. No.2
N.B. The age limit shown against S. No. 2 is relaxed age limit for OBC candidates. The age limit shown against all other S. Nos is normal age limit. AGE IS ALSO RELAXABLE FOR CENTRAL/UT GOVT SERVANTS UPTO FIVE YEARS AS PER THE INSTRUCTIONS ISSUED BY GOVT OF INDIA FROM TIME TO TIME. NOTE : Candidates with disabilities[ as indicated against Item(s)] can apply to the respective posts even if the post is not reserved for them.
